The General Secretariat of the WAMU Banking Commission participates in several forums of supervisors organized by the Francophone Banking Supervisors Group(GSBF), the Community of African Banking Supervisors (CSBA), the West and Central African Banking Supervisors Committee (CSBAOC) and the West African Monetary Zone College of Supervisors (CSZMAO). 

In addition to these actions, the General Secretariat of the WAMU Banking Commission maintains close cooperation with foreign supervisors and regulators, in particular during meetings of the Colleges of Supervisors organised by the Authorities of origin. 

The General Secretariat of the WAMU Banking Commission also maintains close relations with other sub-regional and international institutions and standardisation bodies. In this respect, it exchanges with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, notably on issues related to the stability of the financial sector, and participates in the work organised by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the Franc Zone Anti-Money Laundering Liaison Committee (CLAB) and the Intergovernmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA).
