The Supervisory College of the WAMU Banking Commission held its 154^th session on Wednesday, July 1^st , 2026, at the BCEAO Main Branch in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), chaired by Mr. Jean-Claude Kassi BROU, Governor of the BCEAO.

The session was primarily dedicated to hearings, conducted as part of disciplinary proceedings, of executives from supervised institutions, as well as to the review of various cases.

At the conclusion of the deliberations, disciplinary sanctions and monetary penalties were imposed by the Supervisory College.

Furthermore, during this meeting, the Supervisory Authority adopted the On-Site Inspection Charter for institutions under its supervision. It also reviewed the implementation status of Decision No. 020/12/2023 of the WAMU Council of Ministers, which sets the minimum share capital for banks and financial credit institutions in the member states of the West African Monetary Union (WAMU), six (6) months prior to the December 31, 2026 deadline.
