Since January 1, 2018, the WAMU Banking Commission has been structured into two decision-making bodies, namely the Supervisory College and the Resolution College.
The Supervisory College
This College is composed of the following members :
- The Governor of the BCEAO, its president ;
- a representative designated or appointed by each WAMU member state, at namely the Director of the Public Treasury or the Head of the Supervisory Directorate of Credit Institutions ;
- members appointed by the Council of Ministers of the WAMU, on the proposal of the Governor of the Central Bank, because of their skills in the banking, legal or financial fields or in any other area of expertise deemed compatible with the functions envisaged. Their number is equal to that of the members representing the Member States.
To date, the Supervisory College is composed of the following members :

- Mr. Arthur AHOUSSI (Côte d'Ivoire), Director General of the Treasury and Public Accounting at the Ministry of Finance and Budget
- Ms. Maria BONA GANÓ SÓ (Guinea-Bissau), Director General of Financial Activities and Insurance Supervision at the Ministry of Finance
- Mr. Siaka SAMAKE (Mali), National Director of the Treasury and Public Accounting at the Ministry of Economy and Finance
- Mr. Ibrahim SOFO MAGAGI (Niger), Director of Currency, Credit and Savings at the Ministry of Finance
- Mr. Moussa TOURE (Senegal), Director of Currency and Credit at the Ministry of Finance and Budget
- Mr. Elonyo EMEGNIMO (Togo), Deputy Director General of the Treasury and Public Accounting at the Ministry of Economy and Finance

The Resolution College
The Resolution College comprises the following permanent members:
- The Governor of the BCEAO, who serves as its Chair;
- the Representative on the Supervisory College of the State holding the presidency of the Council of Ministers;
- the Director of the Deposit Guarantee and Resolution Fund in WAMU;
- a member appointed by the WAMU Council of Ministers, upon proposal by the Governor of the BCEAO, on the basis of expertise in banking, legal or financial matters, or in any other field deemed compatible with the responsibilities to be exercised.
As of today, the Resolution College is composed of the members listed below:
