The Supervisory College of the WAMU Banking Commission adopted the list of Systemically Important Banking Institutions (EBIS) for the year 2023, during its 137th session held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, by videoconference, under the chairmanship of Mr. Jean-Claude Kassi BROU, Governor of the Central Bank of the States of West Africa (BCEAO).

In total, the updated list includes twenty-six (26) national EBISs and seven (7) regional EBISs. It recorded three (3) new entrants, two (2) on behalf of national EBISs and one (1) on behalf of regional EBISs. In addition, there are four (4) departures from the national EBIS workforce.
