The Supervisory College of the WAMU Banking Commission held its 132nd session on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the premises of the headquarters of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) in Dakar (Senegal) , under the chairmanship of Mr. Jean-Claude Kassi BROU, Governor of the BCEAO.

At the end of the deliberations, the Supervisory Authority took several decisions concerning in particular the situation of the institutions subject to it as well as the applications for approval, various authorizations or derogations submitted by credit institutions. Disciplinary and pecuniary sanctions have been imposed on establishments whose managers have previously been interviewed in the context of disciplinary proceedings. In addition, the Banking Commission ruled on a request to lift the measure prohibiting the distribution of dividends from a bank.
