Mr. Jean-Claude Kassi BROU, Governor of the BCEAO, President of the WAEMU Banking Commission, met on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Abidjan, with a delegation from the Federation of Professional Associations of Banks and Financial Institutions of WAEMU (FAPBEF-UEMOA) led by its President Mrs. Nana Aïssa ANGO.

This meeting allowed the Governor to make contact with representatives of the banking profession following his taking up of office. In particular, it was an opportunity to discuss banking regulation and supervision in the Union and the challenges to be met in order to preserve and strengthen the stability of the financial system, in the context of macroeconomic and financial uncertainties at international level.
